A Bright Future for Women's Football in Western Australia

In an exciting development for football enthusiasts in Western Australia, the Cook Labor Government recently unveiled an ambitious plan that promises to elevate the status of the sport in the state. The announcement, made on October 26, 2023, signifies a remarkable step forward for women's football and women in football advocacy, and it is indeed a cause for celebration.

The government's commitment to "delivering a legacy for football in WA" has already ignited enthusiasm among the football community, with a strong focus on supporting women's football and increasing opportunities for women in the sport.

We believe that this commitment from the Cook Labor Government has the potential to be a game-changer for women's football in Western Australia. It's not just about building stadiums and facilities; it's about building a future where every girl and woman has the opportunity to pursue their passion for the beautiful game.

With an emphasis on infrastructure, equal opportunities, community engagement, and support for women in leadership, it paves the way for a brighter, more inclusive future for the sport.

Women Onside looks forward to working alongside the government to turn this vision into a reality, and we can't wait to see the positive impact it will have on women's football in the region.
