Bev will talk about the success of her Canadian team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and share with you her personal thoughts on the future of football for women and girls.

About Bev Priestman
Bev Priestman is the Head Coach of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Gold Medal winning Canadian women's football team.
Born in England's north-east, Bev took on coaching roles at a young age - she is still only thirty five years old. After graduating from university with a bachelor's degree in science and football and working in various roles in England, Bev took up a coaching role for Football New Zealand. Next step was Canada where she worked as a women's national team assistant coach under John Herdman and was also coach of Canadian national women's youth teams.
Bev went back to England to work as an assistant coach for the national women's team under Phil Neville from 2018 to 2020.
In October 2020 Bev was appointed head coach of the Canadian women's senior team.

About the conference
The Women in Football Leadership Conference is online on Thursday 23 September.from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. As well as three outstanding keynote speakers the Conference features a set of participatory, interactive workshops for the women's football community to share, learn and influence the future directions for women's football in Australia.
