Onside Mentoring provides a facilitated approach to mentoring for game-changing female leaders aiming to make a difference in football. Over the next few months, we will profile our 2022 mentees and their mentors - this month, we meet Fatima and Sarah.
Fatima is a teacher by day, an avid Matildas Active support network member, a player agent/owner of her own business and a Director of Women Onside. In addition to all her football activities, she recently completed an MBA in Sport Management with Torrens University and Real Madrid Graduate School. As a mentee, her goals are to grow in confidence, deal effectively with difficult situations and further develop her strategic, analytical and management skills.
Fatima’s strengths include her ability to network, collaborate, try new things, and seek advice and feedback. As part of her ongoing professional development, she completed the WO Getting on Boards masterclass series in 2021.
Fatima's mentor, Sarah, has a long-standing connection with football, having been a player, media commentator, writer, manager, and national team administrator with the Matildas. She is an experienced executive leader in strategy, policy and operations currently working for a national organisation and is undertaking Success Coaching accreditation. Through regular communication, advice and support, Sarah will help Fatima develop a strategic plan for her player management agency and develop relationships with international club contacts. At the same time, Sarah will learn more about the football agent industry.
